SRIP RESEARCH DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP GRANT
Scope of funding
The Society wishes to support activities that foster multidisciplinary research, research impact, knowledge mobilisation, and professional practice. We offer funding for workshops or other events that further this goal. Events may include, but are not limited to:
-
A workshop to bring research collaborators together to develop a grant proposal.
-
A one-off event to disseminate research in a specific area.
-
An event to deliver or plan research impact with non-academic stakeholders.
-
A research-led training event to support evidence-based practice.
Funding
The Society will provide up to £1,500 to cover online hosting costs or room hire, travel and accommodation for participants and other small incidental costs. Costs will be reimbursed through a University or other appropriate organisation. The organisers of funded workshops will be required to supply accounts of the monies spent and a brief report of the workshop within 4 months of the event. Applications for matched funding or contribution to full costs are also welcomed.
Applications are invited twice a year:
-
February (call opens), submission in May
-
September (call opens), submission in December
Announcements of the outcomes will be made 2 months after the submission deadline, so please ensure you allow sufficient time before planning the start of your workshop, as no funding will be made available retrospectively.
Up to three applications are funded per academic year.
Our next call is open now!
Deadline: 20th December 2024.
