Professor Jane Sandall
Professor Jane Sandall has a clinical background in nursing, health visiting and midwifery and an academic background in social science. She is an NIHR senior investigator and Cochrane author. Among her many roles, she is the deputy Chair of the Royal College of Midwives Board, Associate Editor of Midwifery: an International Journal and she sits on the NHS England-London Strategic Clinical Network for Maternity. She received a CBE in 2016 for her services to midwifery and women’s health.

Since 1980, SRIP has organized an annual international scientific meeting to: exchange research findings; develop research interests; develop research networks and engage with clinical and academic partners. SRIP awards bursaries to enable academic students and NHS staff to attend the conference. SRIP also awards prizes to junior and esteemed researchers (clinical and academic) in recognition of their work.
